![]() Programs And Services![]() The Atlanta chapter surveys, investigates and reports the needs and problems of children and youth in its community and subsequently initiates and implements programs, projects and activities in the areas designed to meet the needs of its communities. Projects range from health fairs and drug abuse programs to community Health awareness seminars; Reading Is Fundamental sponsorships, tutoring and scholarship awards, career and employability workshops and job placement; cultural programs, etiquette and leadership academies. Special programs are developed to provide exposure to college campuses for students and to motivate and stimulate their minds and cultivate their awareness of their culture and to broaden their future. Each component of our Five Point Programmatic Thrust working independently will maximize the future readiness of their young minds as future leaders. Objectives HEALTH: –To educate parents and caregivers on Children’s health issues and solutions, which will ultimately improve the health of children. EDUCATION: –To focus on students’ needs and broad-based experiences wherein knowledge or skills (particularly reading and writing) are obtained or developed by a learning process. EMPLOYMENT -- To introduce young people to the world of employment and the preparation necessary to be successful in it. RECREATION –To introduce youth to activities which refresh the mind and body through activity that amuses or stimulates.
